Our thoughts are with the McCormack family in the death of their chinese shar-pei, Sadie. Adopted into the family from a coworker, Karen knew how special the breed was. Sadie did not like men, but when Andy entered the picture, she loved him. Typical of the breed, she was aloof and independent but she also loved to run and broke through the invisible fence on more than one occasion. She wore a path alongside the fence that raced the rail trail as she greeted many bicyclists and hikers. As she aged, she enjoyed her daily walks and afternoons watching the beauty of the outdoors from her spot in front of the glass doors. She was quiet but would spar with the groundhogs, that usually ended up with a vet visit and antibiotics. She did win once though. She never really wanted people food until she met Andy and perhaps that is how he won her affection. She did love pizza crusts! She cuddled in her spot of the sofa or on her dog bed. Her years of companionship will never be forgotten.
