Ruby Vaughans

Our thoughts go to the Vaughans family on the death of Ruby, their mini-pin.  Adopted as a mature dog, they never knew her real age.  She came with the name Zoe, but Debra had so many friends with children named Zoe, that she knew that she needed a different name.  Debra starting singing "Ruby Dooby Doo, where are you?" and Ruby responded.  The Vaughans fill their house with music.  The pack listens to classical and smooth jazz throughout the day.  Ruby was bonded with their Pitbull, Saber, who let her be the boss.  She was a dog with a strong personality, even stubborn at times.  She was also mischievous.  She would take the other dogs' toys and hide them under the king sized bed where they couldn't get to them.  She did not want to play with them, she just didn't want the others to play with them.  But she was a lovebug and would snuggle with Alvin under his arm.  She also knew that he would always give her a treat at the dinner table. If Alvin was cutting up the BBQ, Ruby did not move an inch from his side.  She followed him around like a shadow.  Debra will miss how Ruby would hug her.  Ruby sometimes thought of herself as a cat...she could run, bounce, climb and perch.  This sweet ball of fire will be missed by everyone.
