Our thoughts go out to Wes and Laurie Smith on the death of Pepper, their 12 year old short haired black cat. Pepper was born a barn cat on Laurie’s parent’s farm and was adopted by the Smith’s as a tiny kitten and kept indoors. Pepper was always friendly and sweet and adored other cats, especially Ginger, his girlfriend. The two were sweethearts and were lovingly referred to as the spice cats. Sadly, Ginger died a few years ago and Pepper mourned her loss. Pepper craved canned food and treats and would scream for them while leading his owners to their place in the cabinets. When Wes would inquire “Who is a good boy?” Pepper would reply “am.” Pepper would get into a total state of relaxation while sitting on Laurie’s lap. Although Pepper had not one mean bone in his body, he had prevalent, beautiful fangs that were always on display and made him appear to be smiling. Pepper was a healthy guy who loved life right up until his last day. The Smith’s will forever love and cherish their dear Pepper.
