Our thoughts go out to Kristina Montroy and Jenny Meadows on the death of Mindy, their beloved 8 year old Labrador Retriever Mix. Mindy was adopted in 2018 from the Adams County SPCA and was originally from a shelter in West Virginia. Though she was thought to be around 5 years of age at the time, Mindy had the energy of a puppy and was athletic with a muscular build. She had so much pent up energy that when Jenny first brought her home Mindy ran away. Mindy was loving, loyal and silly. She was a wonderful support dog to Jenny and they both benefited from their bonded relationship. Mindy loved to joyfully toss her toys in the air and try to catch them, once throwing a toy so hard and high that it knocked a picture off the wall! Green beans and bacon were Mindy's foods of choice and oh how excited she would get when they were offered to her. Kristina reports that in over 50 years of dog ownership Mindy was the best and was like an angel to their family. Mindy's love and companionship will be greatly missed.
