Jovi Delauter

Our thoughts go out to Eric, Tammy and Madi Delauter on the death of Jovi, their beloved mixed breed dog.  Jovi was a rescue that they got when she was believed to be about 1 year old. She was a wonderful companion and would religiously, every day wait for Eric to get home. She had her little routine of going onto the second step and waiting for Eric to sit down on the first, when she would then put both her paws on the back of his shoulders & lay her head next to his neck. Eric would sit there and give her loves until she was done. They were a bonded pair...as well as Abby and Jovi. Abby was rescued a few years after Jovi, but they quickly became inseparable. Another unbreakable bond was that of Madi and Jovi, the Delauter's daughter. Jovi and Madi were the best of friends who enjoyed doing many activities together. Jovi had such wit that was astounding to their family. She knew how to count, as Eric had to help her in her latter years get onto the bed and get up the steps and she knew when he would get to 3 it was time to jump. Also she could sense Cheez Its or cheese in general being opened at any moment and she would be immediately next to your leg, begging. Cheese was Jovi's favorite! Cherished memories are left behind as Jovi's love and companionship will be greatly missed.
