Our thoughts go out to Cindy Fuhrman and Kerry Blettner and the late Vera and Earl Fuhrman on the death of their beloved Terrier mix Dakota. Cindy saw adorable Dakota's picture and information that he was in search of a forever home on a bulletin board while working at Homewood. At the time Dakota was one and Cindy's parents where residents at Homewood. Vera had been looking for a canine companion and this cute pooch seemed to fit the bill. Cindy contacted the original owners who were headed to the beach for the weekend. Cindy proposed that they pet sit and give Dakota a try and it was discovered that the Fuhrman's and Dakota were the perfect match. Dakota had the cutest curly tail and such a unique look with the added bonus that he was a total sweetheart. He always wanted to be by his devoted owner's side. While living at Homewood Dakota enjoyed rides on the golf cart. After her parents died Cindy took Dakota to her home, a little reluctantly due to her already owning two large dogs, Charles and Jesse, but Dakota ruled the roost and everyone got along just fine, though Dakota did bark at Charles from time to time. Dear Dakota will be forever loved and missed.
