Winston Schmidt

Our thoughts go to Christine Schmidt and Chris Magee on the death of Winston, their nearly 5 year old Guinea Pig.  Adopted at the age of 4, Winston received his name from Christine because he looked sophisticated.  He had been returned by two other families, which Christine found shocking, because he was the best pet.  He loved his cage and lying in the sun.  He loved to be held and would often nestle himself in Christine's lap between her legs. She and he shared a love for vegetables and Winston would get very vocal when the vegetable peeler came out of the drawer.  They were kitchen buddies and he loved tomatoes and bell peppers the best.  He would run around and display his best popcorn kicks and had a chirp that would melt any heart.  He knew how to read Christine's emotions and that is one thing that she will miss the most.
