Our thoughts go to the Deardorff family on the death of Tucker, their 13 year old Labrador Retriever mix. Vicki adopted Tucker from the Adams County SPCA in 2007 and from that day on he was extremely devoted to and protective of Vicki. Though Tucker was a good boy he came with his fair share of drama. Excessive chewing of his tail caused it to be amputated twice. In January of 2015 Tucker went on an 11 day deer hunting adventure and caused the family a lot of stress. Flyers were placed up around town in hopes of tracking Tucker down. He was spotted 1/4 of a mile from home and thankfully returned unharmed. Because he was such a great guard dog and needed to keep Vicki safe, he barked at everyone, even Gary! If Vicki was not home Tucker didn't make a peep. Gunshots and thunder made Tucker nervous and he would seek refuge in the Deardorff's bathroom. Tucker loved to go to Musselman's Doggie Camp and car rides in his younger days. Sweet Tucker will be missed.
