Ripken Still

Our thoughts go out to the Still family on the death of Ripken, their beloved nearly 14 year old Golden Retriever.  Adopted into the family as a surprise for the kids, Callie Ripken came into a home of Orioles fans.  Haley had wanted a Golden Retriever after seeing all of the Airbud movies and Ripken fit into their family perfectly.  She loved to chase balls but she did not like to give them back.  She loved squeaky toys almost to the point of insanity.  She often retreated to the back of the couch when she wanted to hide and she often took a toy or two or three to keep her company.  She was a big baby but was the "princess" of the family.  She loved the kids that would come to Amy's day care in the house and was often Amy's shadow throughout the day.  Ripken was not a picky eater and indulged in eating the occasional ice cube.  She was loving and gave kisses all of the time and would tinkle a bit when she got excited.  She was a great mentor to the many foster dogs that the Still family brought into their home.  Ripken was a beautiful girl whose love and companionship will be greatly missed.
