Manzo Della Vecchia

Our thoughts go to Steve and Tasha Della Vecchia on the death of Manzo, their beloved English Bulldog.  Tasha helped to bring Manzo into the world and she came out with coloring and patterns like a cow so they named her Manzo, which is Italian for cow.  Manny had personality right from the beginning and was the cutest of the litter and she was picked by 4 families to adopt her.  When each of these families came though, Manny was always more interested in her siblings then the people and so each of the families went home with other puppies.  It was supposed to be that way because Manzo was a Della Vecchia from the getgo and she was very attacted to Steve. She was a great teacher and encouraged her disabled canine sister, Forza, to walk. She sat on the arm of the couch as if she was riding a horse which earned her the nickname, Manny Oakley.  She ate everything so she was also called the "Kitchen Helper" and she would wait patiently for Tasha to drop food while cooking or give her a treat.  She was always stealing toys from the others in the pack and made a game out of it.  She had a special toy that was in the shape of a rose that she would carry around in her mouth which made her look so beautiful.  She and the others would start a night of sleeping on the couch, but at 3am she would get kicked off of "the island" and start barking.  Tasha and Steve would shout "Manny, Hush it" and she would retreat to the cat tree until 8am when everyone started to wake, then back on "the island" she went.  This ball of energy and personality will never be forgotten and will be terribly missed.
