Our thoughts go out to Susan Free on the death of Ling Ling, her beloved 15 year old German Shepherd/Husky Mix. Rescued from the shelter, Susan's heart went out to sweetest Ling Ling who was originally from New Jersey. His owner had passed and nobody had realized, the dogs were left to fend for themselves. Having been at the shelter 2 months, it was very traumatic all that Ling Ling went through and he was having a very rough time acclimating. Susan did her best to comfort dearest Ling Ling and give him a loving home for the remainder of his life. Ling Ling was a handsome, soft but very skiddish boy, but he would let Susan pet him for a little while, but then would get uncomfortable and walk away. He loved in his own special way but sadly never felt safe. However he would try, and you would see his tail wag every so often. Ling Ling was a very inquisitive dog who liked to knock over trash cans, jump up onto the stove and stick his head in the fridge door as soon as you opened it. Part of Susan thinks that was probably his nature from being left alone, but unfortunately there is a lot she will never know about her sweet baby. On his last special day here on Earth with Susan, she treated him to uncured hot dogs (which the dog reader specifically said he preferred) and of course filet. Ling Ling's gentle, sorrowful soul will be greatly missed. He is now out of misery over The Rainbow Bridge.
