Our thoughts go out to Christina Mayes on the death of Lilly, her beloved Dutch Shepherd mix. In addition to her heroic work as a search and rescue canine, Lilly was a wonderful companion to Christina and friend to Christina's other dogs. Lilly possessed an outgoing personality and was always up for a good time. Playing tag and chase with Hannah and Tate was fun. Lilly was so agile she could climb a ladder to the top of the Suburban and slide down the windshield. She could leap into Christina's loving arms. Lilly was pretty much perfect, except for the time when she threw up a bird's head on Christina's pillow! Lilly had an exotic look so curious Christina had a DNA test done to discover that Lilly was a mix of Dutch Shepherd, (30%) Boxer, Pomeranian, Labrador Retriever, Samoyed, American Eskimo and Pitbull. One thing was certain, she was beautiful. Salmon was Lilly's favorite food and Christina prepared it with a little butter and seasonings just the way Lilly liked it. Christina is heartbroken to say goodbye to such a special friend. RIP dear Lilly. You will be forever loved and missed.
