Our thoughts go out to Donald and Brecca Faust on the death of Lila, their 13 year old Basset Hound. The Fausts were selected by Lila when they were visiting a rescue in Harpers Ferry, West Virginia. A trailer full of puppy mill dogs was available and the Faust's intentions were to take home a Schipperke, however Lila kept going back and forth between Donald and Becca making it hard to resist her charming ways and big, expressive eyes. Lila had a mixture of sweet and naughty. She loved to cuddle and curl up with her owners on the couch and they even created a ramp to make for easier access during her golden years. The Fausts could be assured they would receive an enthusiastic greeting from Lila upon their arrival home. Special treats for Lila were carrots, turkey and chicken. The naughty side of Lila loved to eat worms after a heavy rain as well as the cat's food. She would sometimes antagonize her brother Larry or bark if the cats touched her. Lila's heartwarming ways and funny personality will be greatly missed.
