Our thoughts go out to Jolene Whirt on the death of Julep, her 13 year old Great Pyrenees. When Joelene picked her up as an 8 week old puppy, she was one from a litter of 10. Julep immediately took to her job as protector. By six months of age, she was patrolling the perimeter of the property, and alerting if she sensed any threat to the property, people or other animals. Julep was named after the Mint Julep drink, and her affectionate nickname was "Bug." She also helped teach her sister the ropes, although her sister may not have taken the job as seriously! Julep will be missed dearly by Jolene.
