Hilda Lambert Tribute

Our thoughts go out to Pat, Jeff and Grant Lambert and the Trice family on the death of Hilda, their beloved 13 year old Pit Bull. Adopted from Fallston Animal Rescue Movement (FARM) along with her brother Malcolm, who she is now up in Heaven running around playing with. Originally however she came from California! One of the owner's at FARM had a daughter who went to Cali on her honeymoon and she fell in love with dearest Hilda. They brought her back but unfortunately Hilda did not get along with other dogs. She ended up at the FARM and found her furever home with first the Trice's. However, Pat's mother who lives with her, had a dog, Daisy and when she passed..Hilda took her shot at being the only (dog)child in the house! After about 5-6 years she just walked across the street (as the Trice's and Pat are neighbors) and never came home! Now of course she really had two families as much as they all saw each other and got together, but Hilda preferred to be the only dog- that was for sure. In her elder years she did warm up to making new friends, canine and human but beforehand she was not about play dates what so ever! She loved her Crunchy Munchy Bones and was honestly a total foodie! She loved any and all food that anyone was having! That was the key sign to her turn in health because poor Hilda stopped eating...and battled like a trooper through all her troubles. Hilda's favorite toy was her stuffed animal named Brittany and she adored car rides- sticking her head out the window. If you didn't have the window down, she'd be sure to put her head right behind your ear and breathe very heavily until you put it down for her! Hilda had a scary bark that everyone was afraid of but she really was a sweetheart. They called her security detail because she would sound the alarm (bark) to alert everyone and then Malcolm would come take care of any issue. If there was confrontation she would be sure to HIDE behind Malcolm. She had such a tender heart and knew when anyone was sick, loved to sleep in the living room and loved her families. Hilda will be dearly missed by all, but leaves behind many happy memories.
