Our thoughts go to Skye Schuler on the death of Gonzo, her African Grey Parrot. She acquired him 20 years ago when an acquaintance left town and left him for Skye to care for. Amazingly, Gonzo was 31-32 years old already at that time! They shared a special bond. He was very vocal, mimicking her words like "Ah, dirtbag!" and her mother's phrase "You're a mess." He could meow like a cat and never learned time changes because he would say "night night" at 4 in the afternoon. He never learned to say "Thank you" or "I love you" but she did not need those words because he would snuggle on her chest and purr. She made several big moves in her life and Gonzo did well with every one of them, enjoying Nantucket the best. His entertaining and jovial spirit that made her smile and laugh so much will be greatly missed but forever remembered in Skye's heart.
