Gemini Rodgers

Our thoughts go out to Jim Rodgers on the death of Gemini, his beloved 8 year old Domestic Short Hair cat. Gemini was a shy girl who when found hissed and hid. She eventually came around when Jim brought both her and her sister/litter mate, Paterno inside. Gemini still liked to hide, especially when guests came to visit. You could often find her curled up underneath the couch. The two sisters have their own room as well. Gemini loved to play with Paterno and they would chase each other down off the recliner to take turns laying with Daddy. Gemini especially liked her chin scratched and would present it to him so he knew exactly where to pet. Her favorite treats were the lobster/mac n' cheese Party Mix. She also liked to bat whatever she could find on the floor around the living room. Unfortunately, Gemini's health took a turn for the worse and Jim noticed she was walking funny. He took her straight to the ER only to find she had a huge cancerous mass in her stomach. Jim himself having stage 4 cancer and going through chemo knows good and well what that entails and the first thing the vet said Gemini needed was a blood transfusion and he could not bare to watch her go through the long grueling process. She is now at peace and watching over Jim with Snoopy. Rest in peace little girl.
