Our thoughts go to Kathi Krichten on the death of Dakota, her Shetland Sheepdog. Adopted as a puppy, he joined his older Sheltie sister Mickey, and instantly became her protector. He wasn't afraid of anything, whether it be new situations, new friends or other animals. He loved everyone especially Mickey and sometimes the even looked like a two headed sheltie because the stood so close to each other. He was a determined pup and he let Kathi know when he wanted something. He knew time and ritual and was very smart. He loved to run and play in the yard, chasing balls and pulling the fur from Mickey's tail. He would float in the pool for hours if he was held and he loved the beach and Long Arm Dam. He was great at chasing bubbles and the laser and could jump vertically in the air for a frisbee. On picnics, he was very good at looking at the food on people's tables and he may or may not have been awarded treats for being so cute. Mickey died earlier this year and Kathi and Kodi were in the middle of making new memories together. Now Kodi and Mickey are jumping, swimming and two headed together again.
