Our thoughts go out to the Vargas family on the death of Casey, their beloved almost 12 year old Boxer. Casey was adopted from a busy family who traveled too much and felt guilty always leaving sweet Casey behind. She honestly needed a lot more attention, and she definitely found her furever home with the Vargas'. Casey had beautiful brindle fur with a white strip/patch down her neck and belly. Quite the beautiful girl! She loved any type of larger sports balls; basketballs, soccer balls, volleyballs...you name it- she wanted it! Casey was never turning down a ball, and often times she got them once they'd been popped but sometimes...she would get them before and pop them herself. She also had a habit of stealing the kids' stuffed animals, but really that's the only thing she ever really 'got into'. The funniest thing was she would never tear them up if they left her home alone or unattended. She would only tear them up if you were watching her because she wanted the attention! Casey was a silly girl who loved lounging on the couch during the day and hogging Mom's bed at night (until she could no longer get up onto it- then she had her own bed). Casey loved car rides but again, her excited nature got her into some mischief. She loved to bark at everyone and was a real clever escape artist who often times got loose. Once she even got loose at school and the principal was chasing her down- never a dull moment with Casey! She also had a habit of being able to get out locked doors and would go after anything with two wheels, she did not prefer them as they gave her anxiety. Once she even knocked a biker over! She was just a protective girl who liked things her way. Casey's spunky spirit and loving heart will be greatly missed by all that knew her, rest in peace sweet girl.
