Ben Talbert

Our thoughts go out to Michelle & Alex Talbert on the death of Ben, their beloved 7 year old mixed breed dog.  Ben was rescued from the Lancaster SPCA where he landed after living at a high kill shelter in Kentucky.  The Talberts suspect Ben was a Labrador Basset mix and they were drawn to his irresistible smile and his interesting coat which appeared as if he were dipped in white paint.  When Ben exited the shelter and was headed to his forever home he urinated all over the grounds, which the Talberts found amusing.  Ben appeared to come from an abusive situation as he was afraid of men and ceiling fans and did not know how to go up and down stairs.  Ben was a kind soul who loved animals, especially small animals like Guinea pigs, hamsters and mice, which he would protect from the cats.  All of the Talbert's pets will miss dear Ben, but especially canine pal Cassie.   Ben's love and companionship will be greatly missed.
