Our thoughts go to the Hansen family on the death of Baxter, their nearly 13 year old Labradoodle. Adopted as a puppy, Baxter was Fred's dog. They would spend time in the man cave together and Baxter loved to snuggle on the couch. He was companions with Sinder and later with Maddy and he was quieter than both of them. He loved to swim in the pool and would often jump in the deep end and swim to the shallow end to walk out by the steps. He was a great chaser of rabbits and cats in the backyard and he was good at retrieving frisbees and balls until Maddy came along and got them quicker. He loved to ride in the truck with Fred and could be seen riding shotgun or poking his head up from the backseat. He was crafty and smart, obedient and affectionate. He liked to eat everything but had to be skillful in how he ate it---once he ate Fred's hot dog with everything and another time, he ate Marlene's sauce from the pot on the stove, spilling not a drop. He loved to eat peppermint candy as well. He was a great companion and had a fun and playful spirit that will be missed.
