Dixie Smith

Our thoughts go out to Margaret Smith, her daughters Lisa and Tracy and her grandchildren on the death of Dixie, their 11 year old Golden Retriever.  Rescued from a shelter in Mechanicsburg as a puppy, Dixie was a pleasure to be around.  She adored her squeaky toys AKA her babies and would always greet her owners at the door after a long day with one of them.  She took great pleasure in destroying them in attempts of removing the squeaker portion.  Great with children, Dixie was loyal and protective.  She was a notorious beggar and a moocher and ravenously consumed all types of foods.  Growing up around cats, Dixie assumed she was one as well.  The Smiths are heartbroken to say good bye to his very special canine.
