Winnie Kielley

Our thoughts go to Liz Kielley on the death of Winnie, her 14 year old beloved Bassett Hound.  Winnie came to find her forever home with Liz after she was adopted and returned.  Liz’s husband declared it was meant to be and Winnie became “Daddy’s favorite.”  Winnie had a lot of spunk and was always full throttle ahead.  Nicknamed “The Tank,”  Winnie often took her owners for a walk.  Winnie adored food but hated getting her nails clipped so they would feed her Cheese Wiz at the vets when trying to give her a pedicure.  Winnie was Liz’s constant companion and often accompanied her to work at Messiah College on dog therapy days for the betterment of the student’s mental health.  Winnie excelled at this task as she loved people and was exceptionally social.  Winnie was a typical Bassett in that her ears were always wet and she was stubborn.  She will be missed and she will forever remain “the prettiest in Daddy’s eyes.”  Although Liz will miss Winnie immensely she takes comfort in knowing that Winnie and her adoring father have been reunited.
