Smokey Stambaugh

Our thoughts go to Sterling Stambaugh and his family on the death of Smokey, his nearly 16 year old domestic medium hair.  Smokey was born in South Carolina and was one of two kittens Sterling's granddaughter's cat gave birth to.  Sterling had no intentions of getting another cat after Whiskers died but Sterling's wife had other plans.  She snuck a sleeping Smokey into the car and hid her under a hat!  Luckily the kitten remained quiet until they crossed the state line and by the time she started meowing it was to far into the drive to turn back.  This ended up being a blessing in disguise because Smokey was a sweet fur ball and was Sterling's constant shadow and a wonderful friend.  Smokey's companionship will be missed tremendously.
